Tuition and Fees


Costs

The cost of an education at Bangor Theological Seminary is moderate. This is largely due to the Seminary’s endowment, scholarship funds, and the annual giving of alumni/ae, churches, and individual friends.

Registration Fee $50.00   per semester
Late Registration $50.00   per semester
Payment Plan Finance Fee $25.00   per semester
       
Audit Fees: $150.00   1 credit course
  $225.00   2 credit courses
  $350.00   3 credit courses
Spouses of full-time degree students currently registered and spouses of faculty and staff may audit any course, with the approval of the instructor, without charge.
 
Full time students may audit courses, with the approval of the instructor, without charge.

Fees for Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)/Chaplain Intern Program (CIP). The administrative fee for CPE/CIP when not used in Supervised Practice, is $110.00 per credit hour, or $660.00 per CPE/CIP unit (6 credits)
       
The fee for CPE/CIP, when used as part of the Supervised Practice Program, is $445.00 per credit hour for three (3) credits and $110.00 per credit for the other three (3) credits.

Refund Policy:

Refunds of tuition for the three and four credit courses are made in accordance with the following schedule after an official withdrawal notice is obtained from the Registrar:

  If after the first class
If after the 2nd class
If after the 3rd class
If after the 4th class
If after the 5th class
If after the 6th class
  100% refunded
80% refunded
60% refunded
40% refunded
20% refunded
no refunds
       

There is no refund of audit fees. In the case of courses that do not last the full duration of a semester, refunds will be pro-rated in accordance with the above policy.

One half of the yearly expenses is charged and payable upon registration in September, and one half upon registration in January. Tuition for non-degree students is due the first day of class. All students are urged to carry some form of health and hospital insurance. The Seminary offers a moderately priced health and accident insurance plan to interested students and their families.
