Bangor is Maine’s third largest city and is the commercial, financial, and cultural center of eastern Maine. Easy access is provided by I-95 and Bangor International airport. BTS is able to offer the personal attention of a smaller school with all the conveniences and resources of a much larger campus. The Seminary facilities include classrooms, bookstore, worship space, and faculty and administrative offices. Campus amenities include dining commons, library, computer lab, campus center and snack bar, athletic fields, and a health and fitness center with an Olympic size swimming pool.
From Interstate 95 take exit 185 (Broadway). After the exit bear right onto Broadway and proceed approximately 1/2 mile. At the light just after the Rite Aid, take a left turn onto Husson Avenue and proceed to the stop sign. The campus entrance will be directly in front of you. BTS is now located in the Executive Wing of Peabody Hall. The closest entrance to this wing is located off College Circle across from Bell Hall. Peabody Hall is connected to the O’Donnell Commons. Parking may be found in any lot marked “General Parking”. These lots may found adjacent to College Circle. Please do not park in lots marked for residents.

The Seminary in Portland is located at State Street Congregational Church, UCC, the home of one of Portland’s historic congregations. Maine’s largest city, Portland is located on a peninsula surrounded by the waters of Casco Bay. Modern office buildings amidst nineteenth century brick structures make Portland a city of architectural contrasts. The Seminary facilities include the Library, the Abigail Bayley Commons, the Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain Classroom, and faculty and administrative offices.
Directions: From I-95 heading north take Exit 44 to I-295. From I-95 heading south take exit 45 (Maine Mall Road) and after the toll booth follow signs to I-295. Once on I-295 take the Forest Avenue Exit South (exit 6A). Stay to the right and turn right immediately off the exit ramp at the first light (it swings you around to the right— you don’t have to stop at the light). Continue through the park, up the hill, and straight through the light onto State Street. Approximately halfway down that block on the left is the campus, located at 159 State Street - in the State Street Church, UCC (almost right across from Mercy Hospital). |
